I raced a girl in a 2003 GLI with an automatic and smoked her and my B7 is still bone-stock. The trick is to get a long enough run. If you were to race him right now he'd hole you something fierce, but if you run about 1/2 a mile or so you'll pull him in the end. Those Jettas are geared so they get a little wheezy up top.

i dont like drag racing
theres was thie E46 4 DOOR M3[&o] (they dont make 4door M3s)
it had the reiger M3 replica bumper and he put the M3 badge on the trunk
im guessin it was a 325
anyways when the light turned green we both went for it
we where both even until we reached 50mph and he just pulled away
he was an automatic like me so ya
i was suprised i held up that long

Pretty sure the gli run a hybrid turbo, the gli is faster in everyway then the A4. Chip your car and add a exhaust and see how you do.

 

I thought the GLI had the same K03 sport as the '00+ A4s, maybe not. 15psi sounds like a chipped 1.8T though. It does have a six speed, there's one advantage.
