A4 engine oil spill problem!
Hey Guys,
So I got my A4 around a month ago and it runs great and feels good after the mods i did (Giac ECU and tip chip!). So 3 days ago I went to a shop to get my rims put on and even though I did not need an oil change for another 2500 miles I decided to get one anyways as I just got the car and wanted synthetic oil in it.
So when the guys opened it there was apparently a HUGE leak and spills all over!! They suspect its the head gasket and some big problems etc....
Now my question is I just drove the car around 550 miles in the last 3 days at almost 100mph. It feels great , runs great and oil levels are fine although its spilling. Any idea or recommendation on what I should do?
thanks,

RE: A4 engine oil spill problem!
well spill and leak, are two seperate things.. if its just leaking you wont notice it that much if its not that bad of a leak.. who knows when the last time the engine was cleaned.. go ahead and do it anyways.. after that check the engine to see where its leaking from, and always keep your eyes on the level of oil in the engine.. let us know where the oil is leaking from and then we can help ya

RE: A4 engine oil spill problem!
Hey guys
so I got the report and I need to change the following due to an oil leak in the engine:
- VCG
- Rear Main Seal
- Front Seal
- Oil Pan Seal
- Head Gaskets
The owner of the shop was out and will call me back with an estimate but the mechanic is cool and talked to me and recommended looking into a used motor and just swapping it and that might be cheaper???
Any ideas if I should do that and where I could find used but reliable motors?
Thanks,
