A4 CVT Vibration

A4 CVT Vibration
Hi,
Our 2006 A4 2T CVT vibrates for a couple of seconds when slowing down from speed at around 30 kph. (such aswhen coming to a light) The vibration is so pronounced that it rattles the seats.
I have taken it to two dealers and they both say the vibration is normal for CVT transmissions. One told me some are worse than others and ours is actually one of the better ones. He also indicated there is a service bulletin from Audi stating the vibration is normal.
Does anyone else have this problem? Anyone know how I can find this service bulletin?
Thanks for your help.
Alex

RE: A4 CVT Vibration
Thats not what the service bulletin says, it says if the transmission shudders when coming to a stop or you notice an rpm fluxuation when just cruising you need to follow several repair procedures.
1. drain the fluid and check for any metal debris in the fluid, if none found install new fluid and test drive.
2. If metal found or if the fluid looks bad you have to check several data blocks while driving to verify the cvt componets are working correctly. If not there are two repair procedures:
Remove the transmission and install and updated clutch pack from 5 plates to 6 plates, then reverse the input shaft, or replace the CVT transmission alltogether, but thats for older model A4 03-05 if yours is an 06 its probably ok. CVT transmissions do shake slightly when coming to a stop but they shouldn't shake the car apart or nothing like that, if it does buck, or shudder try to get it bought back from the dealer if they won't fix it for you.

RE: A4 CVT Vibration
Yes, it has done it since new.
I should clarify that the vibration only occurs as you are slowing down and the speedo goes through 40 to 30 kph. Not as you first accelerate or as you come to a dead stop -- as expected for CVT. It's not a bone shaking vibration but definitely present and feels like something is not quite right.
Judging from the posts, it doesn't appear this condition is normal for all CVT A4s. One tech said it is a fuel saving design!?

RE: A4 CVT Vibration
Vibration is still unresolved. What can you dowhen the dealer "expert" tells you it's normal? We probably won't keep the car beyond it's warranty period because any new purchaser will surely be concerned with this vibration.
I am still trying to find the service bulletin the Audi technician referred to.
