Default a4 brakes

hi peeps, new member here so bear with me if this is in a previous thread, when i brake to a stop there is a grinding sound and some resistance on the brake pedal, this then clears but constantly repeats itself when i go to brake time and time again,im fearing the worst in thinking it is the abs pump,i recently had the outer o/s/f cv boot replaced and when i got the car back it was like this but was ok before it went in,the work was done by my local garage and also think they may have cocked a sensor up.HELP

The speed sensor needs to be put all the way in on the wheel that was worked on

the brake pads might be too tight on there, my mom had the same problem on her Accord last night and me and a friend fixed i, just loosened them up little bit and they work fine now

Just take the car back to the shop and have them fix whatever they messed up.

tried that and got the "we didnt do anything" rubbish.the car was into audi today for some recall work and they have said that the abs is cutting in to early and needs investigation, and at £55($90) per hour it will cost a fortune to find no doubt.i have read that the a4 has sufferd from abs pump problems before, can anyone confirm this

i had the same problem...the abs used to kick in just before coming to a complete stop....it's caused by the speed sensor....replacement sensors are about 140 bucks i think....but it may just not be connected correctly. if the shop that worked on your car did anything to the axles, cv joints, control arms, or any suspension components up front, then they probably unplugged it and didn't plug it back in correctly...
