A4 B6 Oil change help for a Newbie please.
First of all, I promise I have read all sticky posts for Newbs, and have searched all oil change threads. Would just like to clarify, since I am seeing some contradictory posts between different forums, etc.
I own a 2002 1.8T B6. I have been an owner for several months. Getting ready to do an oil change. I am hearing about the oversized oil filters. One forum recommended a NAPA GOLD 1333.
I would like any recommendations for filter and any pointers or tips on doing the oil change. I have always worked on all of my cars, including several Porsches, but have never tore into an A4. I like to cover my bases.
Thanks to anyone willing to help a new A4 lover.

ECS tuning get the oil kit for your car, its about 50 bucks comes with Mann filter which is recommended heavily on here and the replacement nut for the oil pan, its a normal oil change jsut taht the filter is huge and requires some loving to get it out. Getting the plastic engine cover out is easy but a bitch to get all teh nuts the first time they are everywhere about 15 if i rememebr right. Should take you aboat an hour or so the first time and get easier after taht

Thank you both.
The pics are awesome.
If I do not go ECS right off the bat, can you give me the filter P\N to use for the 1.8T? The oversize one.I am going on a road trip in two days and want to change the oil. I will get a filter locally.

You can use any of the oils listed in the link below:
http://www.audiusa.com/etc/medialib/....0011.File.pdf
Personally, I use Mobile 1 0w-40, and the dealers use Castrol Syntec. Regarding oil filters, you can also buy an OEM filter from your local Audi or VW dealer. Just ask for this part #:
