Dont expect anything from the intake except cool sound and better throtle reponse. You might free up10 hp with an exhaust and is 7-10 hp really worth how much the chip costs?
I know the chip only adds a couple HP but it makes some changes. Mainly it keep the power on a little longer as you hit higher rpms. At least thats what I heard from the few people who have done it. Dosen't give your more hp but makes what little hp you have work on a bigger powerband.

What I really wanted to do was a PES Supercharger, but I am hearing that there are problems at PES now... They may be closing or starting a new company, and EVO said that PES actually owe them money, so they're not working with PES any longer.
Check out www.scaudi.com the guys there seem to be content with PES Superchargers.I haven't heard anything about PES closing shop or their problems with EVO, as a matter or fact, they just launched their new website Performance Engine Softwarewww.chip2perform.comwhich is dedicated to performance ECU tuning. I've been contemplating a SC for sometime now and the only reason I haven't purchased a SC is because there is no room for intercooling. Now if PES became creative and added intercooling or a Stage 1 that included intercooler, I would purchase it ifit costed 6K. But until then, I hold on to my hard earned cash.The Good Threads Linkhaslots of info and a FAQ on the 2.8 and 3.0.

Wow,

They're claiming 17 hpand 12 lbswith the chip (C/hp more than likely)...

I agree on the intercooler too. As I am in Phoenix, that's pretty important. What may happen, as there is simply a lack of solid mod for the 3.0 is that I'll go ahead and pull the trigger on the BMW 330 that I've been threatening to get... It's either that or being satisfied with the 250is HP that will come with the exhaust, chip and intake.

I just love the ride of this car so damn much that I don't want to change...
