Hi everyone, recently i have had some transmission malfunctions with a 2004 Audi A4 1.8T. Periodically i would have a red light illuminate on and off at the very bottom of the main/center display on the dashboard. That's the part of the display which gives you an indication of which gear you are in. Once that part of the center display begins to blink, the car would jerk every time its in first gear. Also, every time the car comes to a full stop and that thing is blinking-you let go of the brake and it will not roll. So I give it some gas, and it jerks once or twice, then shifts in to second gear and stops jerking. The red light continues to blink...


Sometimes, I would also have trouble UP SHIFTING in tectronic mode. Usually that problem resists up to 4th gear. Now with the tectronic problem I don't get any lights.

If anyone knows something about these malfunctions please help.
