8pin cd changer to 13 pin ?
Hey guys
I got my ride today, will post pics tomorrow. I have a 1997 which I understand should be pre wrired for a cd changer but has the 8pin connectors.....The 98+ had 13 pin.
My question is someone is selling a cd changer and it is 13 pin, is there something I can buy to convert the 8pin to 13pin?
Thanks.

i'll sell you my 8-pin changer if someone on here can tell me if i can get a headunit with a cd player in my ****....i don't like the truck changer, cause i like switching up my cds quite often, and having it in the trunk is a huge hassle for me...

Yeah, the 8 pin to 13 pin conversion is not worthwhile... often changer adapters (if they exist) are close to 100 bucks... blitz adapters and stuff can be strangly expensive.
Keep looking for an 8 pin dude, they can be found! And even if you pay a litte extra or something (though I doubt you would) it will save you tonnes of hassle... the only way I can think of using the 13 pin, is if you got a 13 pin wire, and ran that through the car. though, im not sure the OTHER end of the wire would plug into the deck! Ya can't win.
