I need to service my b6 a4 and since it is out of warrenty now i was planning on doing it myself. does anyone know what is usually needed for this service?

 

just the basics mate oil & oil filter/ fluid levels/ if automatic-tip atf fluid colour and level/tyre wear,

don't get fooled by a warranty you pay for it when you could save $$$$$£££££ by DIY and that's what this site is all about ( we/im a professional and here to save you cash )

Its a belt not a chain... Every 80k miles is safe.

 

this im considering and I think it should be done under warranty same as the timing belt but only time will tell

He asked about the timing belt/chain, not the cam chain which is what you are refering to.

 

god quality oil and new filter works wonders

 

Sounds expensive, is that synthetic?
