As you all know, i just got a 2002 A-4 T. the turbo lag is not as bad as my wife's A-4T, apparrently due to the magnaflow exhaust. however, i just hate it that i got smoked by a VW 1.8T off the line. what can i do to decrease the turbo lag further?

 

its not turbo lag that caused you to lose, you car is much much heavier and you have more drivetrain loss, get a chip...turbolag stock is almost non existant unless your going wot at like 2000rpm lol

 

thanks for the heads up. i am still debating what chip to get and not void warranty. i want the BEST one there is=fastest w most torque and HP!

 

well apr and giac are the top two, but I' am not going to start a chip war. I have experience with both apr and giac, apr is smoother, giac feels more powerfula nd lets u know u have a turbo. Many dealers dont care about chips, and it is undetectable unless they pop the ecu open

 

id say upsolute is better than them when it comes to ur year. i believe they were the first company to come out with a chip for the 02 a4. atleast thats what they told me. plus they r cheaper at only 375 shipped. dahlback is probally the best u can get but they cost 800.

 

Haha, audihere, upsolute is better for custom tuning, apr and gaic have way more expeirence. Btw- you cant be feeling turbo lag, there is none.

 

stock the engine is purdy smooth to feel any lag

 

or you can just put a new diverter valve and a chip from giac or apr on it and you'll cremate it next time...I've beaten a mustang before with that stuff
