Default 3 quick questions

1) When did the steering wheel mounted controls for the tiptronic appear on the A4?
2) What year were the front link problems "fixed"? A few years ago I was looking at 98-99 models and decided against an A4 because there were so many problems with the front links that most dealers in NY (where I lived at the time) were selling the links as a complete assembled kit to save you time (and make a few more $ for them).
3) What year was the tensioner problem "fixed"? Again, this was a big issue in my not buying an A4 earlier.

I really liked the edgy look of the A4 prior to its redesign so I hope these things were addressed before the redesign.

Thanks,

Ron B.

i didn't think they came with them ????? i know some had radio control buttons. belive the rs6 has paddle shift.

do you mean the control arms??? they never fixed them... just upgrade to the ecs kit

they changed in 98.5 (i belive)

Hey...

The tip controls your talking about started on the a4 in 99....although I would get a 2000 or a 2001 becuase of the enhancements in the wheel package....the side markers....and the interior elements like the radio head unit and the display cluster....

Sorry but I dont know about the other issues...I have a 2000 a4 1.8TQ tip and I love her

id go with the 99.5... everything good about the 2000, minus the DBW, which just makes stuff cost more...
