3...2...1..ignition? ..err..how bout now?
Hey Lads/Ladies,
I'm having an interesting problem starting my car when it has been parked for awhile on a declining surface (when the nose is pointed down, it starts fine when the nose is pointed up). Anyone know what might cause this? Could there be fuel that works its way to my engine and then floods it when its parked at a decline? Could my sparkplugs need some looking at? The starter sounds good it just doesn't turn over. Like I noted it only seems to have a problem when its parked at a decline. When parked at an incline(like it does every night) it has no problems.

Hmmm.....good one.
I am scratching my head trying to come up with a reason.
You would think it would be the other way around, as the fuel tank is in back. pointing upward - gravity against fuel flow.
But, there should be no gas flowing until you turn the key and start the fuel pump........
Does it never start on a decline? Or is it just harder to start? Does it flood out (can you smell a lot of gas around the engine compartment)? Or does it seem like its just not getting gas?
Just dont park facing down hill, and you'll be OK. You could always roll down the hill and let out the clutch to start it.

Ya I find it odd as well. I do smell gas but that's probably cuz I pump the gas a couple times when its trying to turn over (old habit).
I'm still pretty stumped on this one.
