3.0 vs. 1.8 T

RE: 3.0 vs. 1.8 T
I am just goin by what the AUDIWORLD site said, your more than welcome say im wrong but at least show where you got it from and let us look at it, your figures don't sound like there off but it would help if you could give proof of where you got your "****."
P.S 7.9 would make the 1.8T still over a second slower than a stock 3.0, so once again, how is this "light"modding going to make up for that and the fifty horsepower defict
GIAC chip = around 30hp...
10hp if your lucky out of any good cat back sytem so now where at 40.....
Another 10hp would be hard to come by out of a a CAI, especially since the stock intakes for the new B6 1.8T's are just as good as the aftermarket ones
So I'll ask again, how will a lightly modded 1.8T beat a stock 3.0

RE: 3.0 vs. 1.8 T
Since my site had incorrect info, I've done some more searching and found correct info from a "trusted source..." Car and Driver
If you don't trust these specs I guess you'll go back to your own since you know your're own stock specs.
0 - 60 - 8.1 Seconds
Look here to see for yourself

RE: 3.0 vs. 1.8 T
B6 1.8T 0 - 60 - 8.1seconds
170 hp
B6 3.0 0 - 60 - 6.9 seconds
220hp
How is "light" modding going to make up for a 1.2 second difference...it won't, at best light modding (Chip and exhaust) will put the 1.8T at the same level as the 3.0
GIAC Chip for 1.8T - 30-38 hp
Exhaust - 10 hp at best
Total of 40 - 48 hp (48 at BEST)
170 hp
B6 3.0 0 - 60 - 6.9 seconds
220hp

30 - 38 hp?
Stage I ECU Upgrade APR
Stage I software gives you 215 horsepower and 245 lb-ft. of torque.
Add exhaust -- 3.0 Is going down... hell, just chipped (LIGHT MODDING) we're 5 hp short, and have you beat by 20 lbs of torque, in a car that weighs a couple hundie less.
But wait, I guess chip and exhaust is EXTREME modding... hahaha
