Default 2007 2.0T A4 - Chipping Options

Hey there guys,

I have a 07 2.0T which i recently purchased about 3 months ago. What is the best chip out there that you guys recommend? Does warranty go away once you mod the engine?

I have a friend that told meAudi/VW has their own chip that you can get and Audi will still honor the warranty. Any truth to this?
Thanks.

There's quite a few options for you. APR, Revo, and Unitronic are the ones I recommend for the 2.0t.

Warranty varies from dealer to dealer. Some places actually sell mods. Other places will void your warranty the instant they see something not OEM. Best thing to do is call your dealer and ask. Otherwise you should get a program with a flashloader that has the stock settings on it.

Don't forget to upgrade your DV, because I think the stock one can only hold up to 15psi.

IMO get APR, even though program switching is expensive, the program is very well worth it.

The 2.0T DV is different from the1.8T DV. No upgrade should be necessary. But there is a "G" valve that is an upgrade from the stock "B/C" valve thatECS sells. I havent seen any complaints from any chipped 2.0T guys running the stock dv though.

What horsepower are you guys running after the chipping? Is it very noticeable compared to the 200hp stock engine? I once had my BMW 318i chipped, but the power was not that noticeable. Stock Engine was 1.8L 139HP, with the chip i think i got another 10 ponies, but it didn't feel like i actually had lots of power.

Every chipped 2.0t owner I have talked to has blown the stock dv.

Comparing a chip for a turbo motor versus a NA motor is like comparing apples to airplanes. The 1.8t motors average about 40-50 hp and 60-70 ft lbs of torque. The 2.0t's get about 50hp and 80ft lbs.
