2005 A4 Lease Questions
Hello ALL,
I am thinking of leasing a 2005 A4 Quad. Auto. Leather Interior. No options. What is a good/equitable lease cost for 36/48 mo? What is a good 'residual value' at end of lease? What kind of questions should I ask the dealer? First time Leasee, do appreicate your help in this mattter! Thank you!

RE: 2005 A4 Lease Questions
The residual value only matters if you plan on purchasing the car at the end of the lease. I believe that most people will tell you that Audis tend not to hold their value too well. Try to negotiate the starting price on the car rather than your monthlypayments, and the interest rate you are paying.
Go check out the trade in value of a 3 year old audi on edmunds, or kelley and you will get an idea of the residual value.
That said, I've never leased because I would use up a 36K mile lease in less than a year.

RE: 2005 A4 Lease Questions
T Bone,
I currently have my car on a 3 year Payment Advantage Loan...Certain Credit Unions offer them to customers and they have better advantages than a dealer lease...they are basically new or used car leases...no more than 3 model years old...I pay 160/month for my 02 Audi A4...they charge an extra 1% on your interest rate over what you would normally qualify for on your normal loan but still I broke down the numbers and they really are quite a deal...you don't have to have the insurance requirements like on a dealer lease, you can trade your car in and clear the balance ($250 fee for this at end)...you can sell it yourself and keep the difference if you get more than the end balance...or you can refinance the balance...Audi won't give you a lease quote on their website because they have to let their dealers get you when you walk in the door...but this calculator should give you some idea of what to look for:
http://www.erhost.com/webcalc
They get you a little bit on the 1% fee on the APR...but not as bad as the dealer will get you...plus they have very flexible mileage and yearly lease terms...again you have to find a Credit Union that allows this...Mine is through Baxter...

T Bone, the website is BCU.org...although depending on eligibility requirements you might need to find a different one...a search on google might help you find a credit union in your area that you could become a member of...hope everything works out...
