OK ESP is driving me crazy and i've talked to a bunch of people who agree but don't know how to do what i want to do. I would like to make my car start up with ESP disabled and so then when you push the button on the dash it will turn on the system. I hate ESP, but it is good in the rain and snow, but down here that rarely happens... Anyone know how to reverse the setup on the ESP system, im sure it's just a 1's and 0's thing in the computer, I just don't know the correct address. I still want to be able to use the system, i just don't want it to turn on with the car so i have to shut it off every time i drive... Any help will be much appreciated...

i think it turns of on for a reason. and i dont think you can change it

 

it is meant to turn on Stock, but who's car is stock on here... I don't want my ESP on at all, no light on the dash... Then when i want it on, I push the button and the light on the dash turns on indicating that the system is on.

 

The light on the dash indicates it is off.

 

i know that, i want to reprogram the light as well as the system so that.....

When i turn the car on the system would be off and the light would be off....
Then when i turn the system on, the light on the dash would turn on and the system would be on....

currently the light turns on when the system is off, i want it to be the other way around...

anything????

 

I can't help, I don't know how to do what you want to do.

But...

I agree, that having that damn light on is annoying as hell. I shutESP off about 50% of the time, and I am always being asked "What does that light mean?, is something wrong with your car?" .

I wouldn't do this mod for sure, but I would consider it....

I like to get thatlight flashing just for fun, & don't mind the light on the dash when esp is off,but if your watching your dash when doing these things, stay away from me.

 

Yea man, I totally cant see a bright A$$ yellow light on my dashboard without looking directly at it. Sometimes I just stare at it and before I know it ... I look up and Ive reached my destination. I guess Im just lucky.

 

exactly, the system is annoying... I hate it for daily driving
