2003 a4, bent something in the rear
i got a 2003 a4 and it was backed into a wall at 25mpg, the body has a good amount of damage on the rear left side. and the body guy said it can be fixed. but the problem is that the rear left wheel now has excessive toe in it looks like. the camber looks ok but the wheel points inward twords the car. i brought the car up and shook the wheel, nothing is loose. and everything looks somewhat normal.
so what would be the first thing to bend or give away? could the alignment just be off? can the rear toe be adjusted and if so how much.
I plan to replace one part at a time until the wheel is normal.

RE: 2003 a4, bent something is the rear
Replace everything on the part of the rear end, control arms, spring, sturt, the wheel hub and wheel.
Thats the ONLY way to bring it back to normal, there is almost no way of telling what is damaged un-less it is absolutely obvious.

Sure, shocks can bend. If it's there, it can be broken. If it were a shock, though, the suspension wouldn't move very well and there would be huge amounts of oil everywhere (unless it already leaked out)
