2003 a4 3.0 quattro tiptronic tranny question
Hello just bought a4 and had a question about the tiptronic transmission. 1. I did some research and talked to the dealer about getting the transmission fluid changed. The dealer said you do not have to do that on the tiptronic transmission, however I have read online that you should change it. The car has 63k miles on it now and I would rather be safe than sorry. Do you all recommended changing it at this mileage or wait ?
Also is it harder on the transmission to use the manual **** mode vs just letting the car do it yourself. I have driven manual transmissions all my life and kinda miss shifting. It may be a silly question but I was just curious. I am not talking about driving the car harder while shifting it myself but just using the manual shift mode and driving easy to add a bit of fun to the drive.
Thanks

They call the transmission fluid "lifetime". Not sure who's lifetime.
It would be a good idea to get the fluid & filter changed.
As far as the manual shifting i am sure it is no problem as long as you don't beat on it. If it gets beat , it will probably break.
