Has anyone every replaced a steering angle sensor on a 2002 A4? I have not done any research yet but is it a hard part to get at? Shop wants $750 to change it. Any ideas on webpages where I can buy this part?

 

Its not that hard two replace but you may need a few tools that are not very common. You may need a long t30 torx to get the airbag off. Youll need a triple square size12 to get the steering wheel off. You may also need a screwdriver t7? to get the steering column off. Dont remember the exact size but sockets are to small fit in there. Theres also the posiblity that you dont need the long t30 or the screwdriver torx. Sorry i dont remember exactly when the split was but i think it may have been after that model year. Youll also probably need a vag-com to relearn the steering angle sensor. Unfortunatly ive never seen one advertised online so you may be stuck with the dealer.
