Ok, this may be really stupid but every car I've ever owned has had an accessory position on the ignition switch. Turn the key counterclockwise and boom, there it is. This A4 seems to have no such position, it's either off, on with all the battery lights etc, or running. What am I missing? I thought it was bad to let the car sit in the middle position where the battery light, etc were on.

 

There is none. The radio should work without the key.
