Default 2000 Audi - 8-pin CD changer on back of radio?

It seems there is an 8 pin connector that I would like to use for an aux adapter, specifically the pa11-vw from USA spec, which also has an ipod interface built in. There is an adapter that would connect this directly to the back of the radio so I don't have to install it in the trunk. The adapter is the cdl-vw and requires the 8 pin connector on the back of the radio. Some have this 8-pin port and some don't. I would just like to confirm it on my 2000 Audi BOSE CD/casette/radio. Thanks.

I am not following what you are asking, but I have a 2000 A4 and it has symphony, casette and CD. It has the 8 pin connector in the trunk, not that I use it. I have a Dension IceLink in my car for my Ipod interface. With that you don't loose any functionality.

Ok sorry, I'm just trying to confirm that the CD changer port on the back of the radio is of the 8-pin variety. And, yes, you should check out this new USA spec device. You can control an ipod with it *and* you can use it as an aux in port for a sat radio or other device at the same time! And, it's only $115. There's an adapter for it that allows you to plug it directly into the back of the radio after disconnecting the CD changer plug. I just want to know if anyone is certain that that port is an 8-pin one.

Also, you say you have an 8-pin plug in the trunk?? I thought all CD changer plugs terminated in a 13-pin connector in the trunk.
