What would you call Maintaining proper maintenance... My brother had a 1.8t that he never beat on let warm up and cool down every time he drove it and had nothing done to it... Turbo went at 100k
just so you know its not better for your car to sit and let it warm up its actually worse. FYI

I agree, but there is a certain point where letting it sit ideling is bad for it. I think a 1-2 min. warmup is wise in any weather condition.

as soon as it drops from the idle stage of like 1500 rpms then your good to go. i dont knwo talk to the haynes manual they said it was worse for it the starting it and driving it

The turbo's life is about 100k miles, so that would be "normal maintnance." Thats a long time if you stop to think about it for a turbo-if you understand how it works, especialy for the k03. You can get a k03 for cheap so its really not that big of a deal-(if you do it yourself.)
