2.8 starting problems?

emission control system small leak

thats the code that was thrown the last time i checked.. ill check again to see if there is any additional codes

Crank sensors won't always throw a fault code, but they hardly ever fail either.
Replaced hundreds of CTS sensors, and maybe 2 crank sensors, thats a pretty big difference in odds if you ask me.

well thanks again for the help! tomorrow ill stop by the dealership and see what they say, probably get the cts sensor and hopefully they have one on hand

When you ask for the part, dont say "cts sensor".. They might laugh... Just say "coolant temperature sensor." Just looking out for you man [8D]

Well i finally got back home today where theres a warm shop to work in. So i took off the cover and found where the sensor is at,and the sensor that came out had a black housing that plugged into the wiring. But that one that the dealership gave me had a green housing? The sensors look exactly the same, with the same plug and everything so i just put it in, is the one the dealership gave me an updated version or is it actually the wrong one?

Yeah they gave you the updated one, the black housing ones are faulty, they cause everything from hard starting concerns to static miss-fires.
