Default 2.8 Oil Leak culprit

Hi Gurus,

I purchased an Audi 2.8 quattro 2001 a couple of months ago. The car drives well with no major problem except for a bad fuel pump which I replaced. I also just replaced the breather hoses between valve covers.

The car now show drops of oil on the drive way every now and then. I tracked it down to the location of where the round black cap sits. It seems to be behind the exhaust cam.

Since I'm new to Audi, I would like to ask the gurus out there what the black cap might be and the best way to approach the task of replacement.

I took the picture of the cap through a small mirror. The area is highlighted in red.

Much appreciate any pointers and advice...
