1yr anniversary w/ my baby
Well, its been a full year since purchasing my Audi and just turned 80k miles. Overall, no complaints. Its been fun maintaining it. Heres what its been through in the past 365 days:
Timing belt/tensioner/waterpump/t-stat
Rear pads/rotors/bearings
Fixed windshield wahser fluid tank leak
Replaced MAF
Replaced valve cover gasket
Replaced fuel filter
Recharged AC
Chip
Forge 006
Tint
Boost gauge
CC mod
N75 J
Amp/sub
Air box mod (reverted back to stock)
K&N Pannel filter
About a quarter of those things were preventative maint, and only a couple were problems, and the rest are mods.... so overall its been quite reliable in my oppinion with all things considered.
Things Id like to accomplish this year are exhaust, tranny fluid flush, and maybe paint the lowers. Just thought id share [&:]

Take the drivers side wheel well liner out and then you can get to one or 2 of the bolts holding in the resevoir and then there is a bolt on top that goes into the fender that also holds it in. Disconnect the lines/sensor from the bottom of the tank and it should just slide out with some man handleing. The likely spot of the leak(s) is from one of the washer pumps that sits inside the resevoir. The houseings for the pumps that slide into the resevoir crack and leak. I used some rubber cement/sealer on the cracks, let it dry for 30 mins and then wrapped it all up in elecrical tape and slid the pumps back into the resevoir and voila. One of the pumps is for your headlight washers and the other is for the wipers. Test it out before you put the wheel liner back on in case you have to take it out again if your fix didnt work... but it should.
Of course youll have to jack up the car and take the wheel off... and youll need torx bits to get the screws out of the wheel liner.

RE: 1yr anniversary w/ my baby
I finished my year a few months ago as well...
Im changing out the tranny fluid and rear differential my next oil change (500 miles). Also doing a treatment of seafoam w/ new plugs...
Oil: Euro Blend 5w-40 Amsoil
Tranny Oil: 75w-90 Manual Trans (GL4) Amsoil
Diff: Same as tranny
I had to order the tamper proof fill plug tools though...
You will need different oil though since you are AT/TIP

Cool... I have never dropped my car off for someone to work on other than getting the chip. I hopefully wont ever have to do that. Im going to try to pay it off this year then maybe sell the maxima and get a b6 and BT it. Im in the process of buying a house so we'll see if that ever happens.
