After deciding to keep my 1998 1.8T Quattro I have decided to invest some money into the cosmetics of the car, and the first thing that came to mind was lowering the car and reducing the tire/wheel well clearance. I have been looking at various options, but I am kind of strapped for cash and looking for a relatively inexpensive way to do this. If anyone has lowered their car or has suggestions about a particular suspension set up, I would apprectaite your feedback. Also, is it pretty much necessary to buy larger wheels if one wants to reduce the tire/wheel well clearance? Thanks in advance for all the help.
