Alright so I should be getting my new to me A4. Its an 03, 1.8T 5-speed and is bone stock. I have no problems driving it this way, it will be faster than my current DD. But the stock power will need to be addressed at some point. My question is, what chip should I think about when the time comes? I don't want to break the bank but don't want to buy something I regret. if not a chip what would be the best single upgrade as far as cost per dollar. If I can do one thing and make this car run with the stock 3.0s, I will be happy as can be!

 

Get either APR 1+ big injector file or REVO's B6 big injector file.Bestbang for the buck other than the regular k03 files that retain stock injectors. GIAC has a big injector file (FX) too, but APR and REVO seem to be the most adored when comparing chips for the B6.

 

What so these chips run cost wise, and would the install be simple enough that someone who is good with cars (IE, myself) could do at home?

lol been workin, got outa school for the summer and been workin my *** off i try and come on as much as i can but long days make me sleepy...... been lookin for another A4 or S4 thought i saw mine pass the other direction on the freeway a week ago and i miss it again
