I just bought this car and today while I was cleaning it I pressed the rear lock button located on the center console. It pushed into the console. After pulling the ash tray out I tried to push the lock back in and it didn't work. I looked on eBay for a replacement lock but after pulling out the one I thought was defective I realized that nothing on it seemed broken.

Can anyone guide me on fixing this? The "broken one" looked exactly like the new ones on eBay so I am a bit confused
