My 2004-A4 has a leak somewhere in the driver's footwell area. After going through a touchless car wash, the carpet is wet in that area. It's clean water, so it must be coming in when the wash sprays the underside of the car. I can't see any leakage around the door or weather strip, and there is no water on top of the mat, so it must be coming from underneath.
Anyone else experience this problem? Or have any suggestions? It's under warrenty of course, and I will take it in, but if it's something simple, I may just do it myself.

I had the same problem with my Automatic A4 but it got even worse.One day d car did not fall in to gear,it didnt go off the Park position.Then after a few hours of lookin at things I realised it was d fuse.So I changed it and the car was ok for a while.I took it to the service,and thy said it was coz water had gone in to the circuitry...so thy had to keep my car for a day and dry it all off and repair the fault.

I've heard of leaks around the front window seal, causing water to leak into the footwell area. Could be from any number of places I guess.

 

It could be the door seal, did you check it. run your finger along it to look for dfects...

 

Check the drain uder the battery if it gets gloged that area fills up with water and leaks into the interior...
