i read about replaceing the 0 ring in the ect pipe. my pipe came off for some reason and the ring came out. the ring is still good( no cracks and is very plyable) i just cant get it back in for the life of me. it just rolls and twists. i just wanted to know if there is a tol or trick to getting it back in there.
thank you much

No tool, just keep working at it so you can get the ect clip back in. You can try using some o ring assembly lube but you shouldn't need it.

ok ive ben working at it but i have an other queston. i understand how the ring works but does it go right there under the clip or down in the second grove. the grove looks like it is for the ring to seat on the bottom of the pipe

Try putting the o ring on the sensor then pushing it into the slot, it should kinda drop down and it won't really move when its seated. The clip just holds the top of the gold part, keeping the sensor from coming out.
