Just finished putting in the IceLink system for my iPod. It was a very easy install... On their website, they don't mention if their current 3rd and 4th Generation cradle supports the 5th Generation iPod's. Well, it does, and there are no issues. I can upload videos to my iPod, and my passengers can watch it while I'm driving, nice touch. I bought the black iPod because I felt it went with the interior more so than a white one would.

You can find them on ebay, if you are not worried about POP protection. I have the latest version, which includes POP protection, as more and more police are starting to use upgraded radar methods. A lot of people sell their older models on ebay, just look out for that. Might as well have the best protection your hard earned money can buy!

 

The one from the V1 website comes with POP protection right? I just read up but coundt really understand that part.

 

Yes, they will only sell you the most recent version they have. I think it's still right at $400

 

looks exactly like my set up... really nice with the black i-plop... but for some reason mine wont play the video's... maybe i'm downloading the wrong file types or something... b5 a4

your video's play no problem... or is there something in the ice link set-up that i have to change to allow me to watch videos? Which format should i download in and from where (getting all my stuff from limewire now)

The new iPod will only play a verys specific Mpeg4 format (I think), basically if the video won't go into the iTunes library it won't work on your ipod. There are several free coverters you can try. Hope this helps!
