$1,300 For 2 Axles Installed - Robbery???

I took my car over to my local Audi dealership and they want to charge me $400 dollars for two remanufactured axles and $900 in labor am I being ripped off?

ecstuning.com for the parts. You can get it A LOT CHEAPER than dealer.

I got mine done for $60/a side.

i paid $115(included core charge) for a new axle and put it in in less than an hour

I now have a shop that will do it for $275 a side. Seems like a fair price.

Damn thats robbery. I looked at a car with 2 broken axles while shoppin for my Audi and was quoted $400 labor+axles. It doesn't seem like a terribly hard job with the right tools and a Bentley.

A buddy of mine was just was quoted $300 for one side. That's parts and install.

drs305There's a good shop in your area. It's in Yardley near the river. I can't remember thename. If you know Tony from DVAG (username: the greek),ask him where he got his front coilovers installed. The shop is posted on DVAG (www.dvagonline.com) but the site is down for upgrades.
