what are you talking about without the lines ?

thats what forms your beam pattern. any lights without them are cheap

 

the faint little lines imbedded in the clear plastic cover..

i cant find the DIY...how do you take the cover off?, what sealant do you use? and one of my plastic covers is messed up, almost like the previous owner had eylids...

 

those lines are supposed to be there...

the only way to take the front plastic off is to put it in the oven, and as far as i know that only works on the b6's, because the kind of selant used on the b5's had a higher melting point then the housing, so the housing melted before it separated

seriously how do i take it off to get to do the clear corner mod?

and should i just get eyelids to coverup where someone previously glued them?

 

u kno the black piece of rubber that goes around the housing? i believe it's right aobut there. see if u can get a razor and find a gap. it shoulda been glued together with sumthing like super glue so it's invisible. im not 100% if that's how u do it but wouldn't hurt to try. lol. if u don't get an answer i'll check mine out and holla back

well its either eyelids or new headlights...because its got that superglue "rot" where there were eyelids i assume.....and it looks like a$$
