I have a "buzz" in my dash near the left front air vent/left front speaker that is driving me nuts. I can't find out exactly where it's coming from but it has to be really close to that air vent. What's the easiest way to pinpoint/fix this? Do I have to remove the dash or something else? If so, can you point me to a place that explains how to do this? My dealer said that since there is more than 12k they would charge time to find and fix it. No telling how much that could be. BTW way it's an '06 A4 Avant Quattro 2.8 6M with 24k miles.

You have a warranty! Use it. YOU don't have to take anything apart. Take it to the dealer and have them fix it.

Tell them that this needs to be taken car of under warranty. You have a 40K mile 4 year warranty. Have him show you where it says in the warranty that noises in the dash are only covered to 12K miles.

If not, take it to another dealer
