Warming up the engine?

RE: Warming up the engine?
where I live, right now is -28 C (Celsius), and I just want ti ask you guys. Would you start your car and drive with no worming up engine? I've tried trust me and it wasted so muchfuel way more than warming up 10-15 min and then drive.
I agree with hesaputz, A3 worm up too slow. I'm not sure about any other Audi models, maybe I'll trade it for A4.

Does the fwd A3 have separate oil for the transmission and differential? Yea I know fwd don't have differentials, I just don't know what else to call it. Anyways, you need to drive it to get all those gears and bearings warmed up as well. Just remember to stay out of the boost until fully warmed up.

RE: Warming up the engine?
If I recall, the manual says something ridiculously specific for warm up time. I think it says something like "drive easy for 2.2 miles to warm up the car". As a result, I know exactly where the 2.2 mile mark isfrom work and from home on all the routes I can take.
I usually turn on the key, let whatever it is that runs when you do that finish, start up and then fasten seatbelt, switch the radio over to preset mode, fiddle with the climate control, plug my phone inand then take off.
