Tech Certified?

OK, here's the deal... We're compiling a list of techs, on our boards, who want to be placed in the "Tech Certified" group mailbox, for ease of contact when our members have difficult questions they can't find answers to. If you are ALREADY holding a Tech Certified banner under your AV, and want to participate, send me <AWDaholic> a PM letting me know you want in.
Bear in mind that, if you DO opt in, your name will be in the "Tech Certified" grouping of the member-list, and any clown with an internet connection and more bandwidth than braincells will be able to annoy.. urp, meant "question" you, via PM, bout ANYthing, so you should have a pretty high tolerance for simple (read: ne0b) questions. As well as a good background in the subject matter (Cars, in general. Audi's, specifically.) at hand.
We're trying to build a place where people who need help can easily find it, so, if you're gonna be rude when you answer, please don't sign-up. We reserve the right to remove you from the group list, and take away your "Tech Certified banner, if we get too many (more than... 100, let's say) complaints.
If you think you've got the chops, but don't yet have a Tech certified banner, and WANT one, send a PM to <redgoat> with a brief explanation of your background (tech-related, this ain't a dating site), and $1,000,000.00 in snickers wrappers... j/k.

All Concerned...

Under the "old" forum format we had teh ability to add a banner above member's names. Since the "upgrade" I haven't seen that functionality. No longer a Mod, so I can't say why, just that it appears to have gone teh way of the Wholly-Manmouth.

The sticky about becoming Tech-Certified did manage to make the transition, however.

Mods & Admins have been scarce, lately, so it may be a while before *we* can get the sticky removed, or, find a way to re-add the banner functionality.

I'm apalled at the childish responses your well-intentioned post has received to date.

The BMW CCA has technical advisors throughout the US. Yours is a good idea. Thanks for the effort.
