Default RS4 Wheel [Rep] Question

I know that "they all look the same", but please bear with me. There are different thickness' of the spokes, as well as shape and actual curvature of them as well. So after looking over multiple sites, manufactures, wheel sites, etc, I've decided that I really want to get the RS4 reps.Nothing serious, but enough to make me want someone elses advice/opinion. They vary between price anda little in weight. I will be running an 18" rim, 225/40/18 tire [either ToyoT1R or Falken FK452],and will be on Koni Sports with Neuspeed Race Springs [1.8"]. Its between Ace Alloy Wheels,Hartmann, Raderwerks, and Velocity Motoring.

forgot to mention that the color will be changed. the wheels will not remain the stock color they are seen in.

im in agreeance. I think its an overall better looking wheel [even though they all look the same]. They aren't as thick in the spokes and have a lil more curve to em. yet the 'lip' is kinda annoying and what REALLY concearns me is the 8.5 width.

I dont know if I'd rub or if it would be too wide, period. Hence the advice/opinions

I just picked up my a3 up at a custom car place and and the guy said the rims should fit fine because the standard offset is 35 and those will bring it out10 mm

can someone tell me if it is okay to put 225 tyres on a rim that is 8 inches wide? how about if it is a 8.5 width?

cheers.

225 is ok. I'm going with a bit of a stretch at putting a 225 on a 8.5" rim. the tire is rated from 7.5"-9". just depends on how aggressive a driver you are, i guess. I just have a feelinga 235 will cause potential, if not indefinite, rubbing.

i currently have 18" replica rs4 rims on my A3 with 235/40 tyres and they do rub at the rear around corners with more that 2 people in the car. am going to get 225/40s put on next week instead.
