All right, I feel a proper fool. I am frustrated and confused. I just serviced mt 07, A3, 2.0T (15540 miles) and tried to reset the service indicator. Yes, Yes, I searched the topic. I followed the procedure in the owner's manual and in the six or so posts. No combination or permutation of tugging and pushing the odo button and reset button will clear the thing. What in the world am I doing wrong or not doing? I have tried it with only ignition on and with engine running. I am approaching desparation as I know the solution is probably obvious. Any assistance will be greatly appreciated.

The manual is wrong - hold the RH cluster button in for 5 seconds after getting to the proper screen. Don't worry about the button on the bottom of the stalk.
