ipod and Bluetooth

ipod and Bluetooth
Just got an '08 A3 on Friday. It has integrated Bluetooth, but no ipod options. Since I'm leasing, I'm hesitant to have anything wired in-- may do that as a last resort though. I'm wondering if I purchase a bluetooth adaptor for my ipod (Jabra makes one), would that work to then use the ipod in the car? Thanks!

RE: ipod and Bluetooth
You can do a little search and find manytopics for the Ipod. I think there is a link in the NooB thread as well. The Ipod factory wire will sound much much better than the bluetooth option, but you do have limitations on controls.

RE: ipod and Bluetooth
I don't think the A3's factory Bluetooth option supports the A2DP profile - Bluetooth stereo music. You may be able to get it to sync up with the headset profile, but it's gonna sound like garbage -- mono sound, quality will be like a 96kbps MP3. You can add the iPod adapter fairly easily and it is 100% reverseable when you return it.
