Default Help with OEM iPod adapter

Hey everyone... I'm new to the Audi forums b/c I just got a 2007 A3 S-line

anyways, I just bought an OEM ipod adapter and have a few question:

1. I have a Symphony II radio with an indash changer... will I be able to use the cd function after I install the adapter?

2. how do I remove the glove box so i can run the wires to the inside of it.

thanks in advance!

It uses the CD changer controls & input, so you loose the CDC. Glove box no idea, but you should not have to pull it out, only the radio.

I think you only loose the capacity for the glove-box 6-disk changer. The single disk in-dash CD should work just fine.

There's lots of threads on this subject if you do a search on it. You might even find an article on installation over at DIY: http://www.audidiy.com/a3.html

My understanding is that if you have the 6CD In-Dash changer, you can install the iPod adapater just fine and use both. The only catch is that if you have Satellite radio installed, you will have to give that up for the iPod. However, there is a splitter you can buy that will let you use the in-dash changer, the Satellite, and the iPod adapter.

I was thinking about getting an iPod adapter installed as well - but I heard it sucks.

Default ipod adapater not working

I just bought an A4 with an ipod adapter. When I put the ipod in the adapter, the ipod sets itself to "pause" and won't play any music. No matter how I set the ipod, the results are the same.
Any suggestions?
