Default Dyno day

Hey Nam, Night, Chef, Falcom and all A3ers Dynoed the A3 this morning.

Went with the 350 Z ricers from the neighborhood to get that special discount. $40.00 for 3 runs.
Three runs.

1. Torque 230.2 Hp 187.2 AFR 14.76 peak power 209 @ 5250 rpms
2. Torque 235.7 Hp 194.3 AFR 13.69 peak power 206 @ 5350 rpms
3. Torque 222.6 Hp 207.7 AFR 13.47 peak power 213 @ 5100 rpms

My A3 has the following mods. GHL tb exaust, APR tuned, Carbonio CAI, Axis hiros 19's
Hankook ventus 225 35 zr19's

Avg Hps to the wheels is about 210 or a little lower.
Please let me know if anybody dynoed their car bone stock so I can compare the numbers.
My calculation tells me I gained about 40 or so Hp from all my mods would you guys say that statement is true?
Or am I loco and calculating wrong.
Oh btw Alll the ricers loved the German race car that I drove.

Oh come on the 350Z is hardly a ricer. It actually feels like a Nissan interpretation of a Mustang, i.e., kind of heavy (sharing chassis with FX series = more weight), not too refined (for a Japanese car), but has raw power, lots of fun.

The Dyno numbers look a little low. What kind of a dyno is that? As for bone stock, don't you have the Cruise Control switch function? (Yeah I know that APR stock mode is not Audi stock program, but quite close.)

Yes I do have the stock mode but wanted all three runs in the chipped mode. to get a better avg.
Will go back if I dont find anyone with stock numbers.
The machine was called DYNOmite Dyno. Go figure. My buddy that invited me W/the 350 Z says this dyno is pretty good.
My buddy with the 350Z, he and his forum use this dyno pretty frequently. This was my first time.

Those numbers are very close to what my A3 put down with the REVO basic program at K&N. I would think you'd be pushing bigger numbers with the CAI and Exhaust. What was the temperature? Any accessories on like the A/C? Standard 91 program?

Still have a fast little car!

Cheers!

those #'s seem a bit low compared to T2T's dyno results, here's T2T's dyno when he was chipped with Exhaust

are you sure this Dyno was made for FWD? because some AWD dyno places don't really get exact #'s for FWD cars.

The temp. was around the low 80's farenheit, I'm pretty sure he had the AC off.
And the program I have is 93 oct. APR. The question Nam had I'm not sure of if the dyno was only meant for all wheel vehicles.
This was my very first time on one of these machines or computers, so as my knowledge builds i'll get a little better on looking for the FAQ's I'll start researching the DYNOmite dyno a little more in the coming days to gain some knowledge.

if you have an intake / exhuast, did you get your chip retuned for them to get maximum gains? should be a free upgrade once you bought the exhaust and intake.

It is usually a free upgrade but some shops will charge labor. Usually if you go back to the original dealer who flashed the car the first time, they will upgrade you for free.
