Dog bone install made easy!
After reading all the post about the benefits of the ECS Dog Bone insert, I thoughtfor $40, what the hell, I'd go for it...
So, I greased the thing up as per several of the posts suggesting such and attempted to install it. However, after strugglingfor several minutes and only getting it half way in, I started to panic.
Then inspiration struck. I took my hydraulic floor jack, put the large washer on the pad and pumped it up to meet the insert. Then it was just a few slow pumps to get the insert fully seated! Piece of cake!
So, for anyone thinking of getting the Dog Bone insert from ECS or Neuspeed, try this trick for an easy install!
Oh, one more 'tip'. Save the old stretch bolt. It is the same dia and thread pitch of the wheel lug bolt. If you cut off the head and remove the washer, you can use the old bolt to help position and hold your wheels as you install the lug bolts. Much better then that cheap POS wheel support that comes with the jack tools...[/align]

A little late on that help, but I used a little silicon spray and the thing slipped in without too much effort. I agree that it definitely has helped a lot with shifting under a heavy load. Definitely worth the $40. Just make sure you have a good sized breaker bar to make that last 1/4 turn, it's a biatch.
Cheers!
