Do I really need a rear stabilizer bar?

Do I really need a rear stabilizer bar?
A few nights ago I managed to slide my car a bit after coming off an off-ramp. For those in Irvine, it's the Jeffrey off-ramp of the I-5 SB, where there used be a stop sign, but no more. I was turning at approximately 40mph, I estimate. Nothing crazy, a small tap on the brakes corrected it. I had ESP on.
Now I am wondering, with the sport suspension, and my limited driving skill, do I really need a stiffer (e.g. Neuspeed) rear stabilizer bar? I have no delusion of being a drifter, not in a FWD A3 at least. Eventually I may lower the car with performance springs anyway, so maybe should hold off on a rear stabilizer bar until I have tested that setup.

I know that street...
A rear stablizer bar will help a lot. Its one of the best and cheapest suspension mods you can do. Easy to install too from what I hear. But that road on jeffrey shouldn't be used to test. From what I remember its prettly slick since a lot of semi's are contributing to the slickness of that patch of road.
What color is your car? I'm usually between Jamboree and Jeffrey like 95% of the time... if you see a black a3 with no plates.. watch out!

Same here... the problem is I dont like their sand blasting washers... any dirt on your paint will be forced into the clear coat by these systems which will result in swirl marks.
If you love your paint, dont goto auto washes. I dont really care but I have black paint so I am forced to

If you care at all about keeping the car's paint looking good, then you need to wash the car by hand. I wash mine every week or two. I wax it monthly, and polish it every couple months. I will clay bar the entire car every 6 months or so. The paint always looks good, no swirl marks, and the original paint will continue to look good for the life of the car. Give your baby a little love and she will love you back.

I just washed mine again and waxed it with a Nano wax. I've been told that it is good and lasts a long time. I personally don't think it is as shiny as the stuff I was using. I'm all ready for tomorrow!!!
