I'm looking for a rear cargo net for my 07' A3. My dealer wanted $175 bucks for one, which is rediculous! Anybody know of a source that is cheaper? Or of an aftermarket net that fits our cars nicely? The last thing I want is some loose flappy net back there that provides no benefit.

Not much out there online for A3, $175 is not that expensive. Check out other cargo nets online.

A couple black bungee cords would do the trick for under $15.00 investment.

 

I am not certain how the cargo net look for the A3, I got aThule cargo thingy (sorry not to be more specific)that works well. I also got something else at target that cost $20 that basically sticks to the A3 mat and does the job for a lot less money. Not certain if that is what you were looking for, hope it helps!

 

Let me look at home tonight. I had a black cargo net from Mercedes that I purchased for my Jetta IV a while back. I might still have that at home. I'll sell it to you for $50 shipped...but I'll make sure it fits first.

The BMW E46 net works well. The material matches the net pocket on the right side of the hatch.in the A3. The mounting hardware adapts perfectly. Cost of the BMW net is $60 I love it. I stole it from my wifes E46 as it always knotted up on her so she never used it. It's found a happy home in my A3.
