Question Bad noise, much concern, advice appreciated

Good day folks-

Audi 2 0T engine noise - YouTube

2006 A3 2.0T fwd --- 108,000 miles --

Terrible noise, sounds metallic, at idle or below 3,000rpms
Had a louder than usual clicking noise with no noticeable operating effect..then this noise came along abruptly and definitely feels like a serious problem and do not plan on running it again.
Had it towed to a shop that specializes in Mercedes and their only recommendation was to get it to the dealer and no one else..or replace the engine.

Timing belt, water pump, tensioners, rollers as well as spark plugs changed 15K miles ago at dealer...ever since there has been a screetching sound when launching out of 1st gear with not enough throttle or when the AC is on...dealer could not identify the reason for this. Do no know fi its is related.

It has oil (mobile 1- 0w-40) last changes 2k miles ago..but I have been getting (what I believe is) condensation (white sludge in the oil cap) due to short trips and really cold weather recently.

Any input is welcomed

Its going into the dealership on Friday. Cam chain tensioner seems to be very common cause for engine noise like this but mine seems louder...any other theories or guesses out there? Anyone have an estimated cost at the dealer for this repair?
