Hi d2mini - It would probably have been the 'dakar beige metallic' - but, I don't know if I could have tolerated that color.
Bamf - I thought we had discussed the prospects of a black leather interior in Florida - would'nt that have gotten really hot during the summer months. And after seeing the grey interior - I'm thinking that would probably be easier to clean during the winter months. Oh well. C'est la vie.
Yeah, I guess it's give and take. The black leather would be brutal, it's been 95 deg. out lately. However, I do like the looks of the black interior better. Though there is the aspect of cleaning... I just detailed my interior and there were numerous areas where I've got mysterious dirty spots (side of the armrest, driver's and passenger's door panels, raised edges of seats that one slides over when entering/exiting). Overall, I am really happy with what I've got, and I think the light interior complements the lava grey paint, just wish it hid dirt better.

i got the grey interior with lava grey and really like it. it was a bit bland at first, but i got black floor mats and it looks pretty cool and furthers the 2-tone of the interior. it hasn't been too hard to keep clean, either, and i've got dog as my copilot. i'm wondering what it would look like if i switched out the center console to a black one, too.

Agreed^^^

Same color combo here and the black A3 rubber mats were a nice contrast. Overall, the interior is holding up nicely and I've had the car for a year and a half.

I swore after living in the valley in Northern California that I'd never own a black on black car again. The lava grey was a stretch on the outside, so I needed to keep a lighter color for the inside. Definitely needed the tint on the windows though.

Cheers!

At the time I bought my Silver/light grey A3, it was the only one in CA with the options I wanted....save one option which was the cold weather pkg and here in the north central valley of California, that option was going to kill the deal. I didn't want it, and the dealer wanted to make a sale. So we reached a middle ground.

Obviously its a very light car with the only contrast being the dark open sky, black trim and bi-color sport wheels (which for a sport pkg, are frankly the biggest joke of all). I love the light on light combo. Very clean and airy with the open sky.on the inside, while at the same time the open sky on the outside provides very much needed contrats.

I love the beige leather's looks - every car I've had has had that beige interior. The floor mats are a different story - though I'm debating on getting the rubber mats. For me the dark blue exterior with the beige interior works best.

Both of my A3's have beige interior, and I'm using the gray Euro rubber mats. One car is white ext, the other Lava. the mats look really nice, fit and function perfect.
Is your car Moro or Ocean? Ipassed up a premium Moro/beige car here - should have bought it for daughter, but I'd already ordered one for her.

The exterior is the Moro blue. The Ocean was a little too light for my taste.
