This link for Discount Tires
http://www.discounttire.com/dtcs/rea...=010448%7C2007
has only 2 reviews for some tires folks have used on the A3. We need to a central location for tire reviews so that those of use who are (or will be) shopping for tires can review. Is there somewhere here on these forums?

I had the ContiExtremeContacts installe a little over a week ago and have just gotten back from Virginia. I luv 'em!!! Driving through parts of tropical storm 'whatever-there-name-is' last night and this afternoon has been a great test. At first I was a little hesitant last night, because I was still a little skittish from my P6 experiences in the rain (very scary at times). But these Conti's held the road well - for those of you familiar with the DC beltway - I averaged over 70 on the inner loop portion climbing away from the Cabin John bridge through the areas where 270 comes into the beltway and felt totally sure footed. The sweeping curves at "beltway speed" were fun and braking was smooth and there. And quiet....

Well anyway, I ordered two Continental ContiExtremeContact tires.
Getting them delivered at Sears Automotive and for them to install.
They didnt actually have them there, they had to be special ordered, with no extra shipping or order charges. I paid $136 each for them. They should be arriving in 4-7 days. TireRack actually has them for an even better price:

Only replacing two tires or mis-matching sets is a very dangerous way to try and save a few dollars. Differences in traction alone can de-stabilize the car in an emergency, and in the event of an accident will likely be listed as a contributing factor.
