A3 w/ Open Sky + Rack

A3 w/ Open Sky + Rack
I just got my A3 2.0 DST S-Line/Titanium with Open Sky. I need to put a roof rack on it but it doesn't come with side rails when you get the OS.
I'm looking at a Thule 'latch' on but I noticed that when you open the sunroof and it slides back, the glass hangs almost all the way to the edge of the top. So when it slides out and back, the front part of the glass hangs over the rails where the rack mounts need to go. I guess I can put it further back but wanted to know if anyone has one installed with the OS. Any tips/tricks?
Cheers,

Mine had to be special ordered with a euro only option code... the dealer didn't even know you could do it.
I have a 2.0T S-line with Open Sky and roof rails. I had to order a thule fitting kit from the U.K. and it is pretty low profile so when the rack is on I can't open the roof.

Thanks for the info! much appreciated. I went with the Thule although I really like the low profile rails from audi. But i'll probably never take the rack off and I live in SoCal so I need to open the sunroof almost daily.
Thanks again!

Plus if you didn't order roof rails from the factory like i did, it would cost you a fortune and it's a major pita to get them installed after the fact.

I've had my thule rack on with the opensky for a couple months now and it fits pretty well. It doesn't clear the sunroof by much, but it does in fact clear it when it opens. When you put the rack on you have to put the rear mounting feet almost as far back as they'll go in the door sills.

Has anyone looked into a receiver type hitch? Something that would carry something like a Thule 916
