Default A3 S-Line 18 Wheel - Tire Options

Hello All,

Looking to upgrade my 225/40R18's to 225/45R18. I live in NYC so the 40's aren't really giving me the ride comfort I'm looking for. Will I experience fitment issues with the 45's? Has anyone else gone for this option?

Cheers!

Any all-season recos would be great as well...

You will end up with a wheel that are too tall, causing speedo to be off, etc. You will also be more likely to rub the fender of your wheel since this is like lowering your car.

Downgrade to 17 inch wheels if you want 45 series tires.

Or upgrade your struts to Koni FSDs, they are great for bumpy roads, while offering improved performance on corners.

Default Trade 17" wheels

Wanna trade wheels? I have 17" OEM wheels on my A3 with 45 series tires in good shape. I'll trade you my wheels, tires and some cash in exchange for your 18" wheels and tires. That is of course assuming your wheels are in comparable condition. If you are interested pm me and we can work out details.
