A3 HID Conversion Installed

Avoid turning on HIDs when Wiper setting is at On position. Make it a rule - HIDs before Wipers, at least for aftermarket set up. It is believed that the headlamp main powerlines share same ground as the wipersystem- hence a backsurge of power from the ballast travels to the main headlamp power wires to the ground and thus sending a spike of power to the wipersystem- leading to a motor burn-out. This is not a proven cause, but at 65k, I have managed to avoid wiper motor burnout using HID kit (using RetroSolution's Digital set-up).
